Key Performance Indicators (KPI) - OSAP Performance Indicators

The Ministry of Training, Colleges & Universities Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are an attempt to measure how well Ontario colleges meet the needs of students and the marketplace. Prospective students need to have as much information as possible about postsecondary education programs to assist them in choosing the program in which they enrol. All Ontario postsecondary education institutions, including colleges of applied arts and technology, that offer the Ontario Student Loan (OSL) as part of the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) are required to make available the following performance indicator data for each OSL-eligible postsecondary education program:

  • OSL Default Rates

  • Graduate Employment Rates; and

  • Graduation Rates

Note:

  • A common methodology has been used for the calculations for all program-related information provided by all colleges.
  • The data are effective as of 2007, and are updated annually.
  • The Approved Program Sequence Code (APS) is a number assigned for each approved program by the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities.
